Church Fire Dinning Table

Project type

Farm House Dining Table

Date

8/2018

Location

Portland Oregon

The young couple contacted our team, expressing their desire to have a memorable piece created from salvaged old growth Douglas fir. The wood held sentimental value as it originated from their childhood church, which had unfortunately burned down in the early 2000s. Recognizing the significance of their request, we gladly accepted the opportunity to transform the charred timbers into something exceptional.

After the couple provided the salvaged wood at our Tigard shop, our team got to work, leveraging our expertise and craftsmanship to create a farmhouse table that surpassed all expectations. Carefully incorporating the wood's charm, character, and unique history, we ensured that the final product would be a testament to the couple's cherished memories.

Upon delivery, the clients expressed their satisfaction and delight with the farmhouse table, and we, in turn, were thrilled to have fulfilled their vision. We understood the deep emotional connection the clients had to the salvaged wood and the memories associated with their childhood church. Through our craftsmanship, we had transformed the material into a beautiful centerpiece that held not only physical remnants but also symbolic value, embodying resilience, and transformation.

As the table found its place in the couple's home, it became a cherished focal point where new memories were created and shared. The clients hosted family gatherings and enjoyed meals around the table, appreciating its sturdy presence as a reminder of their shared history and faith.

The experience with the young couple and their farmhouse table served as a pivotal moment for our team. It reinforced the power of craftsmanship in bringing joy and preserving cherished memories. With each subsequent commission, we remained committed to our craft, ensuring that we could continue to create exceptional pieces that captured the essence of each individual story and brought happiness to our clients
